Product description
Coated NOP is a controlled-release potassium fertilizer in which each potassium nitrate granule is encapsulated by a polymer coating, slowing the release of both nitrate-nitrogen and potassium so uptake tracks the crop's demand curve instead of a single post-application pulse.
Matched release for chloride-sensitive crops
The chloride-free NOP core combines with a polymer coating to extend nutrient supply across fruiting and bulking stages, avoiding both chloride injury and early-season nutrient flush.
Reduced leaching in sandy or high-rainfall soils
Slowing the dissolution rate keeps more nitrate and potassium in the root zone where irrigation or rainfall would otherwise drive conventional NOP past the roots.
One application, season-long supply
A single basal or band application can replace multiple split applications of conventional potassium nitrate.
Specification
Available in several coating weights and release periods.
| Product | Specification | Total-N% | P2O5% | K2O% | Release period |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coated NOP | 13.5-0-45 2 Months | 13.5 | – | 45 | 2 months |
| Coated NOP | 13-0-44 3 Months | 13 | – | 44 | 3 months |
| Coated NOP | 14-0-46 1 Month | 14 | – | 46 | 1 month |
Key usage scenarios
Where coated NOP delivers the most value.
Chloride-sensitive fruit & vegetable crops
Supplies potassium without the chloride load of MOP-based fertilizers, protecting quality-sensitive crops.
Sandy or high-leaching soils
Keeps potassium and nitrate available through the root zone instead of washing past it after heavy irrigation or rain.
Fruiting & bulking stages
Timed release supports the sustained potassium demand of fruit sizing and tuber/bulb bulking.
Reduced split-application labor
One controlled-release application can substitute for several split dressings of conventional potassium nitrate.
Advantages
Sustainability and productivity together, in one application.
Leaching reduction
Slows nutrient release so potassium and nitrate stay in the root zone longer under irrigation or rainfall.
Chloride-free quality
No chloride load, supporting fruit quality, shelf life and chloride-sensitive crop tolerance.
Labor efficiency
A single basal or band application can cover a full fruiting/bulking cycle's potassium demand.
Yield & quality optimization
Synchronizes K and N supply with crop demand, supporting size, sugar content and overall quality.
Environmental safety
Reduces the share of applied nutrients available for leaching into groundwater.
Sustainable productivity
Combines controlled release with a chloride-free nutrient package suited to high-value, quality-sensitive crops.
